Alabama star Ryan Williams looking for increased focus heading into pivotal season, leaves social media

The Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2025 season is just a couple of weeks away from kicking off as Alabama heads to Tallahassee to face off against the Florida State Seminoles.

After a disappointing 2024 season, which saw the team lose three games in the regular season plus an embarrassing bowl game defeat against a dreadful Michigan team, expectations and hopes are high that things are going to be able to get back on track this year.

If that’s going to happen, a huge part of the reason will be superstar sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams.

Following a massive freshman year, Williams is looking to have an even bigger second season, and it sounds like he is trying to get his mind right.

While streaming, he revealed to fans that he has deleted all social media from his phone so that he can focus on priorities, which of course include winning a national title:

“I don’t have TikTok, I deleted TikTok,” Williams said in response to a question on the stream about his previous viral videos. “I don’t have TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, nothing. No social media is on my phone right now.”

Williams went on to reveal that he has people running his accounts, which are obviously a huge part of his brand, but that he does not have the apps actually on his phone.

With over 700k followers on Instagram and over a million across all social media, he is one of the most recognizable athletes in college sports already.

It certainly sounds like he’s not letting himself get caught up in the hype and is instead focusing on what’s really important ahead of this upcoming season.

And that’s exactly what Alabama fans are going to want to hear.
