With just over a month remaining until Alabama kicks off the 2025 college football season, the spotlight is beginning to shine brightly on the Crimson Tide’s presumed new starting quarterback: Ty Simpson.

While a new season always comes with a ton of unknowns, one known fact is that Alabama will have a new quarterback under center after Jalen Milroe moved on to the NFL.

Most presume it’s going to be Ty Simpson in week one for the Tide, a now program veteran who has waited his turn as a once highly-regarded five-star recruit.

Even though he has been on campus for years now though, Alabama fans have not had the chance to hear much from Simpson given that he was not on the field a ton.

“I came here with dreams and aspirations of going to the NFL and leaving a legacy, and I feel like I can still do that,” Simpson said in a video interview with QB Reps. “When I get on the field, Alabama fans should know that I’m gonna do everything it takes to win. I’m gonna make sure I’m the toughest guy on the field. I’m gonna make sure I win. I’m gonna make sure that I know everything that’s coming. I’m gonna get the guys around me the ball.”

Simpson gave the Crimson Tide fanbase a glimpse into himself, talking about the fact that he is just a normal guy who enjoys hanging out with his teammates, playing golf, and grilling.

It’s what he said about his will to win and leave a legacy at Alabama that will have fans fired up though.

Simpson is going to get his chance to prove himself this year, and as the season gets closer and closer, fans grow more confident that he is going to do just that.
