Alabama Legislature to unveil updated website prior to upcoming session

The Alabama Legislature’s website next week will have a new and improved look, providing the public with easier navigation and access to more information.

According to a release, the legislature’s new website will be unveiled on January 3, 2022.

The announcement advised that the new website was crafted to make for simpler navigation to legislative session information and general information regarding the Alabama House of Representatives, Alabama Senate, Legislative Services Agency and Examiners of Public Accounts.

Five years have passed since the legislature’s website has received a significant update. The new website will feature a user-friendly site search for bills, statuses of bills and will allow users to create a bill tracking list.

The website will also feature member information and livestreaming of session and committee meetings, as well as fast access to session calendars.

Legislature officials will hold a preview of the new website on January 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in room 200 of the Alabama State House. The preview may also be viewed online by visiting the website and clicking the livestreaming square, then selecting the 200 committee room link.
