Alabama Farmers Federation endorses Donald Trump for President

Alabama FarmPAC, a political action committee of the Alabama Farmers Federation, announced its endorsement of Donald J. Trump for president of the United States, according to a news release from the group on Friday.

Federation President Jimmy Parnell said the endorsement was recommended by county leaders throughout Alabama and unanimously approved by FarmPAC’s executive trustees.

“President Trump has a strong record of advancing policies to strengthen American agriculture,” Parnell said. “His administration reduced burdensome regulations, held trade partners accountable, lowered energy costs and invested in rural economic development.

“Today, farmers are facing skyrocketing costs, crippling government overreach and unfair foreign competition,” Parnell said. “Some farmers may not survive another four years of the Biden administration. We must make a change in Washington if America is to continue enjoying safe, abundant and affordable food and fiber.”

Former President Trump will face incumbent President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 general election. Alabama FarmPAC previously announced endorsements in Congressional, judicial, State Board of Education and Public Service Commission races. The 2024 FarmPAC Voter Guide will be available this fall at AlfaFarmers.org.
