Alabama head football coach Nick Saban wins a lot of games by not trying to win games. He does it by building leaders. That isn’t just borne out in the lists of All-Pro selections, statistical leaders or having starters at every offensive and defensive position in the league; his former players are also being recognized for leading in life.
Quinnen Williams is giving back within his home community of Birmingham this month. His foundation is now accepting applications for holiday relief, for single-parent households in need in and around the neighborhoods where he grew up.
My non-profit, the Quinnen Williams Foundation, will be spreading $50,000 of holiday joy among 100 single-parent families (hand picked by me) in the Birmingham, AL area. Apply below to enter!https://t.co/iCGWiAsCMx pic.twitter.com/eFbGaDZQ1B

Those wishing to apply must live within one of the 25 listed zip codes and submit a photo with answers to two questions:
- Why does your family deserve to be selected?
- What (if any) are your family’s hardships?
Williams’ isn’t alone replicating his hard work in the trenches within his community. Three of his fellow Crimson Tide greats are nominated for this year’s Walter Payton Man of the Year. Each NFL franchise gets to nominate one player, and Alabama is represented by 3 of the 32 candidates.
I am incredibly honored to receive the Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination for @WashingtonNFL. I am empowered by this opportunity to expand even further in how my wife and I give back to the community I love. Thank you again, we are just getting started! #WPMOY pic.twitter.com/Wfhq5cGd4t
