Alabama and Auburn’s mens basketball teams each had turbulent weeks on the court. Both faced blowout losses on the road and went 1-1.
Last Wednesday, Auburn handily defeated Alabama at Neville Arena to give the Tide its second SEC loss. However, this past weekend, Alabama bounced back in a road game in Baton Rouge, while Auburn took a big loss at Florida, a place they haven’t won in nearly 30 years.
As a result of both teams going 1-1, each only moved one spot in this week’s AP Poll. Auburn dropped one slot from No. 12 to No. 13, while Alabama rose one spot from No. 16 to No. 15.

Alabama has the mid-week game slot off this week and will next take the court this Saturday at 11 A.M. CST at home against Texas A&M.
Auburn, meanwhile, faces perhaps the biggest week of its season yet. A home game against streaking South Carolina, who is tied for first in the conference is first up on Wednesday night at 7 P.M. CST.
On Saturday, Auburn has Kentucky coming to town for another huge tilt in a game that will tip off at 5 P.M. CST.
