Ainsworth endorses Public Service Commissioners Chip Beeker and Jeremy Oden for reelection

Wednesday, Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth announced his endorsement of Chip Beeker and Jeremy Oden in their reelection bids to the Alabama Public Service Commission (PSC).

In announcing his endorsement of Beeker and Oden, Ainsworth outlined what he asserted to be the importance of conservatives holding seats on the state’s chief utility regulatory commission.

The lieutenant governor also noted the two PSC incumbents’ successful efforts to combat federal overreach and shield Alabama ratepayers from the national left’s climate agenda.

According to Ainsworth, economic devastation would occur should the Democratic Party’s progressive “Green New Deal” policies be allowed to gain traction in Alabama.

“Chip Beeker and Jeremy Oden have shown they have the grit, tenacity, and leadership to fight Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, AOC, and the rest of the Washington liberals who are pushing radical energy policies and the snake oil promises of the Green New Deal,” proclaimed Ainsworth in a release. “If the liberal Democrat extremists are allowed to win, energy prices will skyrocket, jobs will disappear, and Alabama’s economy, which is currently the best in our history, will go into freefall.”

Alabama’s second-highest ranking constitutional officeholder advised that Beeker and Oden would continue to combat the far-left’s “dangerous agenda” and defend the “Alabama way of life.”

“Commissioners Beeker and Oden will preserve our jobs and protect our Alabama way of life from the left-wing radicals and their dangerous agenda. They have my full confidence and strong endorsement for a new term on the Public Service Commission,” concluded Ainsworth.

Yellowhammer News recently documented the effort among proponents of the far-left’s climate agenda to oust Beeker and Oden from their seats on the PSC.

The runoff election will take place June 21.
