The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) have announced $400,000 in scholarship opportunities to help prepare the next generation of Alabama’s automotive workforce.

Each scholarship is valued at up to $4,000 and can be applied toward tuition, books, and fees during the 2026 spring, summer, or fall semesters at participating community colleges.

Eligible programs include Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Machining/Machine Tool/CNC, Automotive Service Technology, Robotic Welding Technology, and Engineering Technology — all key training paths for careers in one of Alabama’s fastest-growing industries.

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in one of the eligible programs at an Alabama community college. Dually enrolled high school students do not qualify for this funding.

Applications are open now through Friday, November 7, 2025, and can be submitted online at the Dream It. Do It. website.

These scholarships are part of an ongoing statewide effort to strengthen Alabama’s skilled workforce and meet the demands of the state’s booming automotive manufacturing sector — a cornerstone of Alabama’s economy.
