ABC of Alabama endorses Matt Woods in Senate District 5 special election

On Tuesday, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama endorsed Matt Woods for Senate District 5.

Governor Ivey called the special election for June 24, 2025 following her appointment of former State Senator Greg Reed to her administration.

Following the endorsement, ABC Board Chairman Tim Harrison said, “Matt is a businessman. He understands what it means to sign the back of a check. We need business-minded leaders in Montgomery who are dedicated to reducing red tape, incentivizing growth, and enhancing workforce development. Matt has a proven track record on these issues, and that is why we are endorsing him today.”
