It’s been a long road to glory for Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts.

Though Hurts has been questioned, doubted, cast aside, and just about everything else since his days in Tuscaloosa, he has come out the other side a champion both on and off the field.

Hurts of course would finish his college career playing for the Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12, but the bulk of his time was at Alabama and he never hesitates to show his Crimson pride.

While speaking recently this week at training camp, Hurts spoke about pushing his team to draft players from the SEC and why that has been so successful for them.

“I appreciate the conversations that we have had and nudging him to go SEC,” Hurts said when asked about the level of input he has and his relationship with general manager Howie Roseman. “There has been a lot of Alabama and Georgia coming through here, it’s been good for us. He’s always been really good at what he’s done and I’ve always had confidence in the SEC…at the end of the day you wanna have a group that has a mentality and a will to win and I think that’s kind of a staple down there.”

Led by a core of stars that include Hurts along with former Crimson Tide Heisman winner DeVonta Smith and 2020 Alabama teammate in center Landon Dickerson as well as numerous Georgia Bulldog superstars on defense, the Eagles are in line to contend for more Super Bowl titles for years to come.
