The National Weather Service has advised the heat index might break the 100-degree barrier across parts of Alabama tomorrow. An excessive heat warning is in effect.

Forecasts indicate the heatwave will intensify Friday. The “feels like” temperature, factoring in humidity, could rise as high as 115.
A return to more seasonable temperatures, ranging from the upper 80s to low 90s, is forecast for Alabama from Monday onward.
