Trump will welcome Pompeo and 3 freed Americans when they arrive at 2 AM

President Trump has secured the release of three Americans held prisoner in North Korea, a goodwill gesture by Kim Jong-un ahead of his planned summit with President Donald Trump.

President Trump tweeted the news on Wednesday morning, saying he will be at Andrews Air Force Base at 2 a.m. Thursday to greet Pompeo and the “3 wonderful gentlemen.”

Trump also said the time and place of his summit with Kim have been set, but he did not give details.
Two of the Americans — Kim Sang-duk and Kim Hak-song — were detained in North Korea one year ago. The third man, Kim Dong-chul, has been held since 2015.

“Well, clearly it’s very good news,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) told Fox News Wednesday morning.

“President Trump is reasserting American leadership, restoring American power around the world. When the president of the United States, President Trump speaks, people listen — they hear what he says.

“Pulling out of the Iran deal, I think, was the right thing, and that sent a strong message to North Korea. If they want to deal with the United States, it’s not going to be a lopsided deal.”
