Donald Trump, Jr. set to headline Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo

An avid outdoorsman and fierce defender of the Second Amendment, Donald Trump, Jr. is set to headline the Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo in Huntsville next month.

Trump’s appearance at the event is expected to include his participation in two on-stage question and answer sessions, according to organizers of the event.

One session will be moderated by Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth, while the second will be guided by Cliff Sims, former Trump administration official and current CEO of Telegraph Creative.

The discussion will cover a range of topics including Trump’s experiences hunting and fishing all over the world, his favorite gear and guns, and the importance of preserving the constitutional right to bear arms.

His adventures outdoors have been well-documented on social media and, in the past, he has described his love for hunting as “a lifestyle” and “not just something I do.”

“Hunting has been a passion for me when I’m not working and with my family, and frankly, it’s been a passion when I’m with my family as well,” Trump remarked.

Inspired to hunt by his grandfather, Trump sees the value in instilling a love for the outdoors in future generations.

“The discipline, the good times, the bond that I’ve had in a hunting camp, around a campfire, on a shooting range, all of those things as well as the discipline and patience it takes to become a competitive shooter, those are all values I want to pass on to my kids,” he explained. “I want to make sure they get them, so I want to make sure to preserve these things for my kids and for their kids after them.”

Trump is scheduled to appear on Saturday, July 10 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Until its sale in 2020, Ainsworth and his family-owned and operated Dream Ranch in Marshall County. Dream Ranch is a nationally renowned lodge and hunting experience set on 2,000 acres.

Like Trump, Ainsworth can be spotted on social media frequently throughout the year hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He has also received the endorsement of prominent gun rights groups during his previous campaign.

The expo touts itself as the “biggest hunting and fishing event that North Alabama and Huntsville have ever seen.” More than 500 booths will be spread out across the Von Braun Center for deer, duck, turkey, dove and quail hunters, as well as bass fishermen and bow fishermen.
